Founder of SI5 Improvement
Harry Edward Bassant
I help people break addictions, lose weight, and build discipline from the inside out. I also help people who already live healthy lives stay consistent and accountable — so the wheels don't fall off and they don't slip back into old grooves.

The lowest point
For years I was stuck in the same cycle: new diets, new gym memberships, promises to cut back on alcohol — and the same eventual slide back. I was obese, dependent on alcohol and junk food, and suffering with my mental health.
The lowest point came when my dad was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. I drank even more. I ate even more. I felt so hopeless that I didn't see the point in continuing. The only thing that kept me going was knowing I had to be there for him.

The moment everything changed
In September 2019, my dad was diagnosed with dementia. A month later, we were told he had motor neurone disease and had around two years to live. The heartbreak was unbearable.
The moment everything changed was realising I needed to be the best son I could be for my dad. And in order to be the best son, I needed to become the best person — the best version of myself.
The transformation
In 2020, I stopped waiting and started building. I immersed myself in self-development and put a new system in place — one that addressed my identity, my mentality, my vision, my lifestyle, and my daily habits.
In six months, my life looked unrecognisable. By the end of that year I had:
- Lost 6.5 stone — around 41 kilograms
- Stopped drinking alcohol completely — and haven't touched a drop since
- Built discipline, resilience, and consistency I never thought I had
- Faced my fears and pushed myself out of my comfort zone, repeatedly
Most importantly, when my dad passed away in 2021, I was able to show up as the son I wanted to be — positive, emotionally in control, and present. I believe he died proud.

What I learned
Transformation does take willpower — because you have to dedicate yourself to the process. But that dedication is what lets you build a new person and a new lifestyle: new beliefs, new routines, new standards, and a new structure around you.
I'm not perfect. I still stumble and I still battle on occasions. But I know what it takes to pick yourself up and keep moving forwards.

What I do now
I left my day job to go full-time with SI5 Improvement. Today I help people break free from addictions, build consistency with healthy living, lose weight with practical, experienced guidance, and develop the mindset and habits that outlast motivation swings.
I do this through free content — the podcast, social videos, free downloads, and the 66 Day Habit Installation Challenge — as well as one-to-one mentoring and paid services for people who want direct support.
